It is still legal to teach the history and poetry of the Bible in America

We need parents to sign this. State law says parents can request a new elective class and get it for their children. Vote No on the bond election until the school provides a class like we want for our children.

Petition to WFISD for New Elective Class

From the first grade or kindergarten on through graduation, we want at least a one-semester per year class that allows our children to see traditional, conservative viewpoints on anything impacting the lives of our children. This could include expressions of history, science, math, the arts, money, food and ways of thinking along the lines of America's first schoolmaster, Noah Webster. This curriculum would also include opinions from early Supreme Court members on law and government and schools. We believe such a class would greatly strengthen our children and carry over good fruit into their other studies, resulting overall in better students.

  1. History of the Christian foundations of American law and government using copies of original documents.
  2. History of science and math and all subjects that highlights men of faith towards God. History is OK to teach.
  3. Books like Noah Webster's First American Dictionary, and other old books from America's schools like McGuffey Readers.
  4. Teach the Declaration of Independence and use the 1850 text titled Lives of the Signers.
  5. Teach the cultural wars between the World Plan for Education and the old fashioned, original American way of schooling.
  6. Teach American historical speeches about money and banking. At least let the children know the history.
  7. Teach the children about false advertising, mass-media, social-engineering. True historical examples are ok to teach.
  8. Explain the principles of Machiavelli's book, The Prince. And show history where it has been applied.
  9. Teach the foundations so the children can better understand the current events.

As recently as President Harry S. Truman, these words were spoken to Americans by a God-fearing President.
The fundamental basis of this nation's law was given to Moses on the Mount. The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teaching we get from Exodus and St. Matthew, from Isaiah and St. Paul.
I don't think we emphasize that enough these days.     If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally end up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in the right for anybody except the state.

The state has now taken away many rights that existed sixty years ago when Truman spoke those words.

President Truman had seen the aetheists and communists beginning to reach the Supreme Court and strip away existing practices in America, the teaching of "proper fundamental moral background." That is the historical background of this quote. Parents, if you go to a church on Sunday, you need to know those people who do not want children to believe in God are being a whole lot more active about it than you are. Stand up and do what's right for your child. The "law" enforces child attendance at a state approved school for most of the week. The "law" denies teaching of Christian truth during all that time. You and your children are being fed into an atheistic machine. Can you sit still? Can you ignore this? Will you let the people who call Christianity a disease be the ones who decide how and what your child is taught? There is a battle for control in the classroom. It is past time to fight the good fight of faith. 1 Timothy 6:12 Your dollars are paying for the wrong kind of a school. Either fix the school, or send your dollars to a school where your student can hear the words of faith from America's Founding Fathers. The difference is not only a better life now, but also eternal.
